During the summer, carnivals, regattas and festivals follow each other without pause, and every August there is a Children's Week devoted to giving children the best time of their lives.
During the evening, the seafront comes alive and is perfect for an evening stroll. There is a variety of excellent food and drink, and between the multiplex cinema and the historic Palace Theatre, there is an exciting mix of quality entertainment all year round.
