The Millfield English Language Holiday Courses (MELHC) offer English language tuition (minimum 15 hours per week) together with a full activity, social and cultural programme, at 2 boarding school campuses in Somerset.
Morning English options include: General English, Academic Explorers, Academic English, Cambridge Assessment English and Global Young Leaders. Students can choose an additional afternoon English option (8 hours per week) of English workshops which cover a wide range of topics.
Afternoon options include both sports and arts options making use of amazing facilities and expert coaching.
2 excursions per week – combining culture and fun.
A full social programme is provided at each campus, making every moment special. This ensures that every student is kept busy and has maximum opportunity to practise English whilst making friends with students from around the world, in a fun and enjoyable environment.
The campuses are brought together for large events to participate in a wide variety of exciting activities such as the Rock Festival, International Food Festival and Summer Fete.
Both campuses have modern accommodation with separate houses for boys and girls, the majority of which are located on campus. Staff are accommodated in the same houses, with each house allocated a Houseparent and Assistant who are responsible for the running of the house and the health and welfare of the students living there.
Our residential summer courses are open to students aged 6-17, with students aged 6-11 at our Glastonbury campus and students aged 12-17 at our Street campus. We offer various dates in standard blocks of 2, 3, 4 and 6 weeks.
