Kaplan International College schools and centres provide English courses for non-English speakers in the UK. We have year-round homestay and residential centres in Bath, Salisbury and Torquay and additional summer centres in London and Bournemouth. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our schools or centres in the near future.
The school, previously known as The Salisbury School of English, was founded in 1979 by Mike and Barbara Wills. In September 2006, it was taken over by the WELS Group and became WELS Salisbury and subsequently became part of the Kaplan group. The school enjoys continuing popularity with many students returning year after year. It is also easy to get to - only 90 minutes by taxi from Heathrow Airport and 30 minutes from Southampton Airport, or 90 minutes by train from Central London.
The school is open year round for adults. It offers English courses in Salisbury for students aged 6 to 17 in the summer, and for young learners aged 13-17 in January. Closed group courses for teenagers aged 13+ are available at other times of the year. The main adult school is based at Fowlers Road, a short walk from city centre and cathedral.
Residential courses for pre-teens (age 6-13 years) take place on the campus of Godolphin School which is located within 10 minutes walk from the main school. Our St.Martin's teaching centre and St Mary’s Residence (summer only)for teenage students aged 14-17 are also close by.
